In 1906, the Farwig Arms was a fully licensed house and stood at the junction of Farwig lane and College road. The house catered for all classes and was well conducted.
Messrs Charrington, the freeholders said a large trade was carried out at this house, and it must be a growing trade having regard to the new buildings which had been erected in the neighbourhood.
License would be renewed.
In 1906, the Royal Oak was a beerhouse at the junction of Farwig lane and College road, immediately opposite the Farwig Arms. It catered for a respectable class of people.
Mr W H Withycombe, the landlord, said a good many men came to his house for the midday meal.
License to be renewed provisionally with a recommendation for compensation.
The Royal Oak pub, corner of Fargwig Lane and College Road, Bromley stood opposite the Farwig Pub (now a COOP) and was demolished many years back. Eventually a car showroom opened up there. That closed down and the space is now a warehouse plot with no building on it as yet.
