I am the Grand daughter of the landlord of the duchess of Edinburgh in
Chatham. Arthur Boorman was the landlord from 1914 until he went to war;
when my Grandmother took over, from 1917-1919. When he came back in 1919
he took it back until his death in 1934, then his wife took it over.
Ellen remarried to Henry Brown in 1935, and she kept the pub until 1950.
