At 1-3 Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, Chatham in 1939 are
John Leslie Stanley Fowler, Licensed Victualler, born 29 Jan 1906
Doris E Fowler, Domestic Duties, born 10 Feb 1910
May E Rudd, House & Barmaid, born 28 Jun 1919
My grandad, John Caulfield, used to run the Halfway House. I was born in 1962 and brother in 66, we both remember the pub. I think the houses next to it were all knocked down. The Pub I thought would have gone late 1960s early 1970s. *
