EYNSFORD is a village and parish, one mile from Farningham, and eight north of
Sevenoaks, and six from Dartford. The population in 1851 was 1,323. The church
is dedicated to St. Martin, and is a fine building, of Norman architecture. The
living is a vicarage, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the see of Canterbury. The
Rev. Richard Nevill Cornwell is vicar.
