FAIRFIELD is a parish, seven miles from New Romney, and two miles from Appledore railway station. The population in 1851 was 57. The living is a vicarage, in the gift of the Dean and Chapter of Canterbury. The Rev. John Collier, M.A., is the incumbent. Woodruff is half a mile north.

Letters received through Brookland, and the nearest Money Order Office is at New Romney.
