Globe Inn, 34 Abbey Street, Faversham

This ancient building is known historically to have been the house of the Steward of Faversham Abbey. But there is a record of a Globe Inn here as early as 1519. It may not always have served as a pub, but was in pub use from at least 1865 until its closure in 1935. It is now a private house. **
