This pub was established by 1558 and was earlier called the Falcon and the Wheatsheaf before 1752 when it was renamed the Queens Head. It closed as a separate pub in 1935 and was incorporated into the adjoining Ship Hotel. It has been sold off by the Ship at some point since 1982 and is now in use as a private house. **
