My grandfather was Frank May. In 1913 he was listed as a beer retailer in Bethersden. In 1919 he was demobbed to the Lord Nelson, at 10 Radnor Street, Folkestone; his wife Agnes and children Anthony Arthur and Irene were at the address, according to the Army records. By 1934 (and also in 1938) he was at the Alexandra Hotel, 9 Harbour Street Folkestone. The pub was bombed in the war and grandad was trapped for some time, it is now a car park. ***
