Henry Hone (my second great grand uncle) was born in Frindsbury, according to census records, and was christened 18 Jun 1809 in Dartford Kent, and lived in Frindsbury most of his life. He was a brick maker in 1841 and lived on Castle Street.  His wife was Margaret (nee Ruck). They were married 13 Feb 1832 at Saint Werburgh Hoo, Kent *

In the 1851 England census he is listed as Henry Hove, retailer of beer, residing in Wainscott. By 1861 his occupation is once again listed as brick maker; he and his wife lived in Cuxton, but later returned to Upnor. Henry died 24 Feb 1864. His brother, Charles Hone was my second great grandfather who came over to America in 1851 with his wife Rachel (nee Denton).  *

According to his will, probate date 7 May 1864: The Will of Henry Hone late of Upnor in the Parish of Frindsbury and of Cuxton, both in the County of Kent Licensed Victualler deceased who died 29 February 1864 at Cuxton aforesaid was proved at the Principal Registry by the oath of Margaret Hone of Cuxton aforesaid Widow the Relict the sole Executrix. His effects were under 100 pounds. *
