This pub was established by 1843 as the Druids Head. Named the Jolly Drayman in 1861. By around 1879 it had been renamed the Brewery Tap, and served at this time as the tap for the Waller & Sons, Wellington Brewery. It was again renamed the Jolly Drayman in around 1922 (and also in the 1911 census) and this latter name is still in use today (2010). **
