the Bagshaw's Directory for 1847. I'm fairly certain this is the same
person, as the "Man of Kent" is given as the birth place for one of his
daughters, both the 1841 and 1851 census gives his occupation as Licensed
Victualler and they lived in and around Gravesend. *
