Prince Alfred, 95 West Street, Gravesend

This pub was established by 1570 as the White Bear and went through a succession of names including Bear, Bear & Ragged Staff and Beehive, before becoming the Prince Alfred. Closed in 1939 and now demolished. The address in the 1851 census is at 69 West street prior to road renumbering. At 89 West Street in 1903 & earlier, then again in 1922. **
