16 April 1903 - The Bromley Chronicle
George Napier, the Crown Inn, Knockholt was summoned for selling liquor to a drunken man, on March 30th.
James Chilton was arrested, at seven pm. He left home at nine am, and had a pint of ale in the Crown.
Thence he went to the Bull at Brasted and had another pint, thence to the Lamb at Sundridge, where he had another ; next to the Crown at Chipstead, where he had a fourth pint.
Proceeding to the Bullfinch at Chevening he had a fifth pint and his lunch. That would be about two o'clock.
He left there and proceeded through Dunton Green and Chevening Park, back to the Crown at Knockholt.
He reached there at five o'clock and had a sixth and last pint.
Summons dismissed.
