My great Uncle, Absalom George Young, was landlord here in 1871. I don't know for how long he and his life were there but I do know they remained in the area for many years, living in firstly in Church Cottage (now a tree opposite the entrance to Holy Trinity Church) and then for 30 years in Albert Cottage which is still there, on the corner of Albion Street car park. *
