TONGE, or TONG, is a parish, one mile and a half E.N. from Sittingbourne. The population in 1851 was 242. The church is dedicated to St. Giles. The living is a vicarage ; the Rev. A. Baldwin, M.A., is the incumbent. Moorstone is half a mile north; Bucks half a mile S.E.
