WOMENSWOULD is a small village seven miles S.E. of Canterbury, and ten miles N.W. of Dover. Here is a parish church, and the living is a discharged curacy, in the patronage of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and incumbency of the Rev. Thomas Harrison. The population in 1851 was 256.
