Convivial Hotel, 2 Boundary street & 90 Regent road, Liverpool

Modern names were the Bar Coast hotel; Royal Crest Hotel ; Convivial Hotel ; Sherlock's ; Coast - a public house on the Dock Road in Liverpool. The buildings along Regent Road ( The Dock Road ) which runs along the north docks from the city centre to Bootle. Once a busy port with a thriving industrial area aside to service the shipping / docks, the area fell into decline as the trade moved to the nearby container port of Seaforth. Much of the dock area has been flattened and the surrounding industrial area has ceased trading - leaving empty and negected buildings. Some are listed buildings and will eventually be restored.
