The Hyde Road Hotel had two bars - on The Vault (men only) & the other lounge bar all delved from a horseshoe bar. There was a separate music room on the ground floor with a pianist and singers on a Friday and Saturday night plus an upstairs function room with a separate bar for weddings, parties etc. it was accessed by an ornate iron spiral staircase. *
It was reputed to be where Manchester City FC was formed.
It was derelict for many years before it was pulled down.
