My understanding is that at some time Maria Sheppard was possibly succeeded
by a Jack Morris who in 1935 or thereabouts moved to the Shoulder of Mutton
in Braunstone (later the Falcon) when it opened.
He in turn was succeeded by Oliver R Bishop when the Painters Arms 2 - 4
Victor Street, Leicester was demolished . Then just after the end of WW2
Oliver was succeeded by his son Alec F Bishop who ran the Abbey until about
1959 during which time the LBM estate was acquired by Ansells Brewery.
