It was still open in the late 1960s. I should know as I was a part time barman. Also it was used as a film set (typical South London boozer) for the film of Up the Junction (1968) Dennis Waterman, Suzy Kendall. Adrienne Posta. *

Also I wondered later whether (Sir) George Shearing (1919 - 2011) ever played there - he certainly played at other Battersea pubs. I am sure some pub local said that he had. But at that time I had no idea who was talking about.
