Im in the process of trying to find out more about my Aunt and Uncle.
I recall visiting their pub near to Tooley Street which I understood to be the Bricklayers Arms. From the BT Phone books I located them [G R Horlock] as a Licensed Victualler at 10 Gainsford Street, SE1, but no name of any public house. The 1891 Census has 10 Gainsford Street as a Beer House listed as the Bricklayers Arms. Today, Southwark Council have the
Dean Swift at 10 Gainsford Street but as its on a corner, the Dean Swift use 32 Lafone Street as the address. ***
