My Grandparents Frank James and Alice Grace Clare where the licensees of the Farnborough Arms, 67 Westbridge Road, Battersea at the junction of Hyde Lane and Westbridge Road during the 1950's and 1960's until it was pulled down and replaced with the tower block of flats that are there now. I remember Matt Monro singing there many times. Also Neville Dickie the pianist for many years on the Jimmy Young radio show, Carlos the Italian Chef from the tv programme Crossroads was a regular too. I also remember a lot of the Chelsea football team drinking in there after a match on more than one occasion. *
