    Existed from at least 1827. Although there is no picture of this Pub, it can clearly be seen (it is the building behind the horse and cart). Address formerly 177 Whitechapel Road, although listed as at 1 Cambridge Road in 1871 census. The Duke of Cambridge, Mile End corner in the 1869 and 1878 license transfer. This pub is now demolished. ** The 1833 pigots directory lists this as the Black Dog at this address.
