Goat Tavern, 3A Kensington High Street, Kensington W8 5NP

Kensington pub index

Established in 1679 and now called the Goat Tavern. *
Originally built by the local parish as an ale house to raise money to support the poor, the pub had tunnels running from Kensington Palace and was a regal hideaway. It was a Greene King public house in March 2026. Greene King has announced plans to sell off, or convert 150 pubs into tenanted or franchised locations, as the UK hospitality sector struggles with rising costs.
