My great grandfather ran this pub from 1908/9. and brought up his family on the site. During his time I am assured it was the Queens Arms. My grandmother having been married from there. Charles Bannister had worked for the brewery, I don't know the name, as a brewer and brewers traveller before becoming the tennant. After he retired we know he was heavily involved in showing Horse Drawn Brewers Dreys. *
