This pub/brewery was certainly present by 1794, and perhaps as early as 1535, the date of construction of the oldest part of the building. The Eagle Brewery closed in 1908 and the Eagle Brewery Tap closed in 1932 for conversion into residential use. Everything was demolished in 1971 - some features being preserved at the Museum of London. At 213 Poplar High Street before 1871 and renumbering **
