The landlord of the Brunswick Arms in 1953 was Thomas W Cole, known as Tommy. He ran the pub along with his wife Alice. My parents were friends of the couple. I know that they gave up the pub shortly after 1953, and opened a second hand shop in Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green.  **

The enclosed photo is of Tommy Cole, Alice Cole, and their daughter Brenda Cole.
