Aske Street was a different street to the south of Fanshaw
Street, and was swallowed up by post-war housing estates. The modern site at 46
Fanshaw Street is about 50 metres north-east of where the pub was originally
located until the mid-20th century. *
At 26 Aske Street in 1944; The pub was rebuilt after WWII. **
