Morning Advertiser 29 April 1864
The proposed Inns of Court Hotel, to be erected on the site of the old George and Blue Boar, Holborn, and carried through into Lincolns Inn fields, has been commenced. The contract has been taken by Messrs Hill and Keddell, of Whitechapel, for 65000 pounds, who are pushing on the works with activity, having agreed to complete the building in a year.

St Giles in the Fields - Inns of Court Hotel, 269 and 270 High Holborn, and 20,21 and 22 Lincolns Inn fields - This license was applied for in the name of Henry Thomas Bewley. The magistrates, without hearing counsel, granted the application.
