A fire broke out yesterday morning at one o'clock at a public house, the sign of the City of Rotterdam, St Catherine street, East Smithfield, which consumed the whole of the interior of the building.

By Mr Newton, on the Premises, the City of Rotterdam, St Katherines, Thames street, near the Tower, This Day, February 28, at Eleven, in consequence of the Premises being pulled down by the St Katherines Dock Company.
All the Public House Fixtures, Beer Engine, Measures, Household Furniture of the usual description, and numerous effects - To be viewed the morning of the sale, and must be paid for and cleared away immediately after the sale.
By 1830, Joseph Hayward has moved to the Edinburgh Castle at 91 Lower East Smithfield.
