Jane Rowland of the Black Boy beershop, High street, Woolwich, was summoned for having her house open before the proper hour on Sunday morning, Police Constable Margetson proved finding a number of men with pots of beer in the upper rooms of the house, and the defendant said that they were either her lodgers or her lodgers friends, Fined 20 shillings and 2 shillings costs.
