Robert Bee of the Shovel and Hoe, Back lane, Old Brentford was granted a renewal, A complaint was that the rateable value was not sufficient. As the value was now £20, the license was renewed.

James Vernon of Ealing was fined 40 shillings or one months imprisonment for stealing a fox terrier bitch, the property of Mr Robert Bee, landlord of the Shovel and Hoe beerhouse, Brentford

Kate Wright, 18, was brought up on remand charged with stealing £26 from Mr Robert Bee, newsagent and landlord of the Shovel and Hoe beerhouse, Brentford, under circumstances fully reported .
Enquiries have been made by the Bench with a view of finding a Home to which to send the young woman. They had proved successful, and prisoner expressed her willingness to go there and remain until she had retrieved her good character, and was in a position to take a situation as a domestic servant.
