Thursday 28 July 2022 - Stonegate Media:
The Jolly Anglers, Beeston, is holding a family fun day to raise much-needed funds for Nottingham QMC Children’s Wards. The event which is sure to be a day to remember will take place on 30 July 2022, from 12 Noon onwards.
The Caribbean-themed day will have food supplied by Jerk Kitchen for when the revellers get hungry. There are plenty of activities to help build up an appetite from a Rodeo Bull, Bungee Run, Gladiator Knockout, Crazy Golf and Sumo Suits to fete classics like Stocks, Tug of War and Hook a Duck. There will be no shortage of entertainment on this fun-filled day.
The event will also see prizes up for grabs all day from the tombola or raffles and other giveaways. Funds raised across the many activities on offer will go directly to Nottingham QMC Children’s Wards which make up Nottingham Children’s Hospital. The wards accommodate children and young people from birth to 19 years old and care for around 40,000 children each year.
Paula Stevenson, Operator of The Jolly Anglers, said: “We are so pleased to be putting on this fun day and bringing the local community together. Not only to have a great time but help the many children that are cared for in the Nottingham QMC Children’s Wards. We hope that everyone comes ready for a party!”
The Jolly Anglers reopened earlier this year, following a £210,000 investment, which breathed new life into the pub. The pub is part of Craft Union Pub Company, which recently won Best Community Pub Operator at the Publican Awards.
