Mansfield pub history index
Albert street is earlier named Cockpit, and renamed about 1851 or thereabouts. This is a separate pub from the White Bear at 18 Albert street. I believe that this is renamed to The Lounge by the 1911 census, presuming the numbering is correct, and has not altered. By 1900, the other White Bear has become the Victoria Hotel, and this has been renamed the White Bear.
