I have just discovered that Andrew Marsden (1835-1892). my second great grand uncle was the publican at this pub on the 1861 census. I don't know how long he was there because by 1871 he was living in St Annes Nottingham where he is described as a 'gentleman', In 1881 he lived in Mapperley where he was a Commission agent (Turf).
There are a number of other members of the Marsden family who were publicans at other pubs in Radford during the 19th century. *
