My grandfather and grandmother were the publicans of the Lord Roberts in the 1911 census. Their names were Joseph and Rose Hill. I've tried to find photos of the pub, but know it was rebuilt in the 1930s or 20s and the only building I can see from the internet is a twentieth century, deco-style one. I'd be interested to know if anyone has photos of the pub dating from the time they were there, or the close surroundings. *
I'm fairly sure it was after 1908 they moved there as this is the date of their marriage, and I think by 1912 when my aunt was born mid-year, they were no longer there. *
