My great aunt was a single lady called Florence Hovard, and was the last
licensee. My great grandfather was also the licensee before his daughter. My
grandmother was Barbara Hovard , Florence's sister. All can be seen in the
1911 census detail. The 1891 census also shows the two sisters at their
fathers pub, the
Kings Arms, Stow on the Wold, Gloucester. *
