Joseph GILES of Hampton Poyle took over sometime between 1871 and 1880. His occupation is listed as publican at his daughters baptism in October 1880. Joseph was also a carrier. Joseph's Mother Mary had taken over The Bell, at Hampton Poyle after his grandfather Thomas GILES.
After Joseph,  the Six Bells passed to Abraham Taylor Newport and his wife Fanny the daughter of Richard Young of The Dog, at Kidlington ***
