September 1888/New License for Walsall Wood - Mr Duignan on behalf of Mr
John Male, of the Beehive Inn beerhouse applied for an indoor license for
that house. He said an old license was formerly attached to the house, but
in 1874 was taken away. since then the canal traffic had greatly improved,
and it was felt that some additional accomodation was needed - Mr Loxton
opposed on behalf of the owners of neighbouring houses - The application was
