Henry Barley was my 3x great grandfather. He kept the three mariners from approx
mid 1860s to his death in 1881, with the inn he also held the ferry rights
across the river. He was also a smacksman with his own boats which used to fish
off Iceland etc, His daughter Letitia, my 2x great grandmother married from the
inn in 1871. The inn was washed away about 1920s. *
