BUTLEY is a parish and village, in Loeshundred, Plomesgate union, and Woodbridge county court district, East Suffolk, 4 miles west from Orford, and 7 east from Woodbridge. The church of St. John is a stone building. The living is a perpetual curacy, with the chapelry of Capel St. Andrew annexed, joint annual value £135, in the gift of Lord Rendlesham; the Rev.
