LIVERMERE PARVA is 4 miles from Ixworth, and 5 ½ from Bury, in
Blackbourn hundred, Thingoe union, Bury St. Edmund's county court district,
archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese of Ely, West Suffolk. The church of St.
Peter is a brick building, with tower. The living is a rectory, consolidated
with Livermere Magna, joint annual value £440, in the gift of Rear Admiral Sir
G. N. Broke Middleton, Bart., C.B., and held by the Rev.Augustus Asgill Colvile,
M.A. There is only one farm in the parish, in-the occupation of Mr. Charles
Cooke, the remainder of the parish forming a portion of Livermere Park.
Rear-Admiral Sir G. N. Broke Middleton, Bart., C.B., is lord of the manor. The
population in 1861 was 167, and the area is 1,433 acres.
