*According to pub researcher 'Margaret Follett'; Harry William Fenn took over the tenancy of The Marlborough Head on 18 March 1902. The property was owned by the large firm of brewers, Cobbold & Co., Ipswich (who later combined with Tollemache's Ipswich Brewery Ltd., Ipswich - to become Tolly Cobbold). His business was fully licensed and there were stalls for four horses. (Between 1/1/1901 and 31/12/1902 there were two other tenants in the Somersham pub, they were probably members of the Fenn family - father Samuel until his death Sept Qtr 1901 and Emma his mother until Harry took over (Emma died 14 April 1902). *
