This is named as the "Alma Tavern" in the 1871 census, where it is listed as Union Road. This street is later renamed Heath Road, where it's listed in 1881 as the "Alma". In the 1878 Directory it's at Crescent Road (the intersecting street, itself since renamed). There's an Alma House listed in the 1861 census but it doesn't appear to be a pub. *
