This building dates from about 1850-1860 when it was tied to the Thomas Harris brewery at Knowle Green, Staines and replaced an earlier building.
The pub was completely demolished in 1973 to make way for the construction of the Runnymede Hotel. *

This is also listed at Wraysbury, Buckinghamshire. This pub is believed to have been established in the seventeenth century. It is now demolished and a modern hotel has been built on the site. **
