Geoffrey Powell, aged 34 now a soldier, pleaded guilty to stealing £13 belonging to PercyWallaker, licensee of the Bear Hotel, Oxshott, by whom he was then employed as a barman.
He had six previous convictions, including three years penal servitude in 1932 for theft and bigamy. During the last six years Powell had led an honest life. Bound over for two years.
