	John Dewdney was licensed victualler at the Red Cross Inn in 1822.  He was married to Sarah Ninham.
	A Henry Ninham was resident in 1839 *
	
	In 1819 to 1821, Sarah Ninham is listed in the victuallers records for Reigate.
	
Thre is a marriage in February 1822 between a John Dewdney, a bachelor of Reigate, and Sarah Ninham a widow, at Bishopsgate.
The 1822 victuallers records for Reigate specifically name the Red Cross and John Dewdney. The record also names Ann Taylor, widow and William Briggs, victualler of Reigate.
In 1832, there is a last will and testament of a John Dewdney, in Reigate. His burial record of the 13th May 1832, suggests he was aged 48. His will mentions his wife, Sarah.
[Henry Ninham was baptised at the age of 2 at St Mary, Reigate (born 11th December 1804), to William and Sarah Ninham. His sister, Ann, is also baptised at this time.]
Henry marries by banns in July 1831 to a Catherine McIsaac, in the presence of Ann McIsaac and Duncan McIsaac.
Their daughter Emma Elizabeth dies in February, 1833, aged just 5 months, at Reigate.
In April, 1838 at the baptism of their sone Henry Duncan, he is noted as a publican.

	The Surrey & Middlesex Standard 04 July 1840 reported on Elizabeth Nye, aged 37, who was indicted for stealing a candlestick and other articles, the property of Mr Ninham, of the Red Cross Inn, Reigate.
