My great grandfather, William Thomas Daniels, who had served with the Royal Fusiliers on the NW Frontier in India was Landlord at the Prince of Wales Pub at 155 Upper North Street, Poplar from about 1906 to 1910. He is at The Castle, Woolwich by the 1911 census, and ultimately was Landlord of the Jenny Lind Pub in Carshalton Road, Sutton, Surrey (now called "The Nightingale") *
