I am not related to the Cunningham's but weirdly enough I actually had one of the great, great, & possibly more greats grand sons in the pub yesterday [July 2010] who was also telling me what he knew of the family. He now lives in Ireland with his family & has never been here before! I am actually trying to make a tree of landlords dating back as far as possible. Local info says the pub dates back to approx 1276 & that Charles II stopped for a pint on Oct 14th, 1651 whilst fleeing from Cromwell's army after his defeat at the battle of Worcester. It's such a great old pub in a fantastic location. ***
