The Pilot Inn - in Pimlico street (now Tichbourne street) : The 1881 info
has Horace Carleton as landlord and Lucy his wife. Lucy was my GG
grandmother. (This was her second marriage.) On the 1861 and 1871 census the
landlord was Lucy's older brother Isaac Wisden and his wife Elizabeth. In
1861 his niece (Lucy's daughter, my G grandmother) is on the census too. Her
name was Lucy Elizabeth Howgate, although she's listed as "Elizabeth Howgett".
In 1871 Lucy is a barmaid at the Three Tuns,
10 Bartholomews. *
